Morning chores don’t allow for multitasking. There’s a slow, grounding rhythm to feeding animals or kneading dough; a rhythm that mirrors the calm of being at sea.
Both places remind me that peace is found in the pauses. That it’s okay to step back from the noise and let life happen at a gentler pace.
